Wimbledon has always been fashion’s quietest power move—no step-and-repeat, no stylist credits flashing across a chyron, just a dress code (all white, on court) that somehow makes everyone off court try harder. This year’s Championships proved it again. Between the Royal Box, the British Vogue x Ralph Lauren lunch, and the general SW19 crowd, the 2026 tournament delivered a masterclass in what happens when preppy goes Hollywood.

The Looks Worth Talking About

Elle Fanning set the tone arriving mid-tournament in a pin-striped shirt dress and toe-cap heels—the kind of outfit that reads “I have a matching Ralph Lauren picnic blanket at home” without saying a word. The Princess of Wales, patron of the All England Club, went with cornflower-blue tailoring from Gabriela Hearst, proving that a great coordinated set (blazer, wide-leg trouser) will outdress a full gown every time. Isla Fisher leaned into Me+Em, Jameela Jamil paired Reformation with a Mulberry bag, and Michaela Coel showed up to the traditional British Vogue lunch in Loewe alongside Tom Hiddleston, Ambika Mod, and Emma Corrin—Kir Royales in hand, obviously.

The throughline across nearly every look, from the Royal Box down to the general admission crowd: stripes, linen, ivory, and tailoring with just enough structure to survive a long afternoon of grass-court tennis and a glass of Pimm’s. It’s not trend-driven dressing—it’s the same six or seven ideas (a striped shirt dress, a matching linen set, a great loafer) done exceptionally well, which is exactly why it photographs so cleanly year after year.
